Owner and company president Terry Mammenga discovered and fell in love with Robomow® in the summer of 2008 after his personal frustrations with a lawn maintenance service and resulting search for a better lawn care alternative. He instantly realized that Robomow was the future of lawn maintenance and decided that he wanted be a part of the “robolution.” Shortly thereafter, Terry along with his enthusiastic staff began their quest to learn all they could about this amazing product. Envi-Ro-Botics was organized with the vision of not only become the region’s most comprehensive Robomow dealer and service center but also with the hopes of expanding into other logical products that help make our lives more convenient while encouraging more sustainable lifestyles. Why Robomow?
For forty some years now I have been the proud owner of a lawn. During that time I have run the wheels off of dozens of mowers and burned up enough gas and oil to travel around the world probably more than once.
In my younger years I lied to myself and said I liked to mow. Then I said that the kids needed something to do and even though we had five children, I was still the one who usually got stuck mowing the grass.
Age brought wisdom and not because I am lazy but, as I think of it, I’m time deprived; I finally broke down and hired a lawn service to come in and mow my lawn. I was never satisfied with the job they did and it always bothered me to pay them their rather large fee and see them drive off after less than 10 minutes of work.
The straw that broke the camel’s back came on the day last summer that I just happened to be home and saw them hit my brick mailbox with their huge riding mower. Bricks and mortar flew in every direction. They carefully picked up the pieces and did their best to replace the broken bricks. The extra mortar went into their pockets and then they drove away never saying a word to me about what had happened.
I went straight to the Internet and started looking for an electric mower, deciding that I would just have to mow my lawn myself. That was the first I had ever heard of Robomow. The minute I saw the video, I knew I wanted one. Once I got one and saw how easy it was to set up and how well it worked, I knew I wanted to share this with everyone.
